Let’s not assume this entry is about a pregnancy just because of the title. I’m simply pointing out that September came quickly this year. August flashed right by. Come to think of it, the entire summer has been a blur. I’ve already been overcome by that urge to buy school supplies and new clothes, but I don’t think I went to the beach, got in a pool or ate a popsicle this year.
Maybe if feels like time has flown by because I’m work full-time and keep my weekend schedule filled with the same pathetic and repetitive drinking schedule. Or maybe it’s just because Comcast internet really is fast!
Either way, I’m going to connect my use of the words “flown” and “fast” to something I am related to in a very small way. My aunt Sue and her husband Mike own and operate an air racing team called the September Pops. The compete in the Reno Air Races, which will be going on in the middle of the month. I have yet to see this event in person, despite several invitations. I doubt I’ll make it this year, but hopefully next time…as long as time doesn’t keep ticking so fast.
